When Virgin Voyages first burst onto the cruise scene, it set prices for four-night cruises on its first ship, the Scarlet Lady, at a whopping $725 per person for an inside cabin – a bold move for a rookie cruiser Cruise brand that took risks as big as banning children and adding an entertainment battery that thrives on sexual innuendos.
Fast forward to the 2022 pre-holiday season, and the line is now offering year-end trips starting at $99 per person per night. That’s $396 for a four-day cruise in an inside cabin — just 55% of what Virgin was originally charging for the same accommodation when prices were announced in 2019. Plus, get $100 drink credit in credits with every $300 drink purchase.
I’ll be honest, Virgin’s offer isn’t the cheapest of the season, nor is it the most comprehensive. But because it’s such a radical departure from what the line used to charge, and given that Virgin rolls so much into its fares, I think it’s one of the most significant bargains you’ll find right now.
That price is honestly a steal considering the line’s fares include all meals, basic beverages (water, coffee, tea, juice, soda), fitness classes, and Wi-Fi — amenities that many of the mainstream lines don’t have included, although they charge comparable prices.

In fairness, most cruise lines are still reeling from the pandemic shutdown and are pulling out all the stops to lure passengers back on board. We’ve seen some other great deals lately, so it’s not just Virgin that’s heavily discounting their product.
