The first Street Fighter 6 Manon cosplay we’ve ever seen is absolutely beautiful and deserves attention from the game’s director

KittyKaboom quickly put together a costume for the new supermodel fighter

Street Fighter fans are doing well this month as Capcom is conducting the second closed beta test for Street Fighter 6 after last week’s announcement of four new characters joining the game’s launch playable roster. Old fighter Dee Jay, as well as newcomers JP, Marisa and Manon have all been met with praise from the community, with each of the new fighters quickly becoming many people’s favourites.

Manon, the judo/ballet fighter who also happens to be a supermodel, is definitely one of the standouts of the brand new characters in Street Fighter 6, and in fact she’s so popular that she inspired her first cosplay. Top fighting game community cosplayer Kitty Kaboom quickly put together a cosplay for SF6’s Manon using only the items she had in her closet and even with limited materials, it’s already blown the park. This cosplay even caught the attention of Street Fighter 6 director Takayuki Nakayama.

In the latest Street Fighter 6 trailer, Capcom showed off two different outfits for newcomer Manon. When we first see her, she’s decked out in her supermodel gear and performing ballet. Four of her backup dancers travel across the screen in front of her, and when she reappears she is seen in her standard costume – which looks more like wrestling and judo attire.

Kitty’s cosplay is based on the supermodel version, who wears large, thick sunglasses, leather top and pants, and a jacket with large feathers on the collar. She also wears a gold medal around her neck and rocks her stylish white hairdo with this ensemble.

This cosplay looks very similar to what we see in-game for Manon, and the fact that Kitty was only able to build it with things she had lying around at home is all the more impressive. We can’t wait to see what develops from this beautiful Manon cosplay as Kitty gets more materials specifically for the look.

After sharing some photos of her Street Fighter 6 Manon cosplay on Twitter, she received numerous compliments from followers and fans. Among those who said nice things about Kaboom’s cosplay was none other than SF6 director Nakayama himself, who we know thanks to Google Translate said something along the lines of “nice Manon”.

Manon, Marisa, JP, Dee Jay, Ryu, Chun-Li, and the rest of the 18-character launch roster will be playable when the game releases on June 2, 2023. Street Fighter 6 will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
