Initial launch of AMD Radeon RX 7900 GPUs limited to reference models
Custom Radeon RX 7900 cards are slated to launch 1-2 weeks later.
According to BoardChannels news, the December 13 launch of the Radeon RX 7900 series could be limited to “public models” at first. This obviously means the reference design MBA (Made by AMD), which is to be offered by all major board partners.
Custom models are said to be released 1 to 2 weeks later, with no reason given. As of this writing, no board partner has yet revealed the full specs of their cards, not to mention the fact that only two manufacturers have revealed their cards so far (ASUS and PowerColor).

However, it is not uncommon for the launch of AMD Radeon to be limited to reference models. This allows AMD to ensure that, at least for a limited time, their cards won’t overcharge simply because they’re all the same. On the other hand, custom models can appear at any time, making it harder to buy the most desirable card.
AMD Radeon RX 7900 series graphics cards are expected to be available starting December 13, 2022 on AMD.com and in mid-2022 from leading board partners including ASRock, ASUS, Biostar, Gigabyte, MSI, PowerColor, Sapphire, Vastarmor, XFX and Yeston be. December. The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX has a SEP of $999, while the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT has a SEP of $899.

AMD already confirmed in September that it was working with several board partners to launch the Radeon 7900. At least 10 brands are said to eventually have their RX 7900 designs. According to the same quote, these cards should be available from mid-December.
