Tetris Effect: Connected is getting another update for Switch, here’s what’s included

The Switch version of Tetris Effect: Connected received another update earlier this month. This latest patch brings the game to version 1.3.3.

The official support site has now shared the full details and revealed a host of changes for all platforms. It also knows about certain exploits that are tied to the system clock on Switch. Here are the full details:

TETRIS EFFECT: LINKED PATCH 1.3.3

[ALL] Added an SR Disconnect penalty status for players who have an abnormally high disconnect rate in RANKED MATCHES. We’ll monitor how well this does at deterring bad actors and make adjustments as needed.

[ALL] Adjusted matchmaking so that players cannot exit the lobby once an opponent arrives in most competitive RANKED MATCH modes – ZONE BATTLE, SCORE ATTACK, and CLASSIC SCORE ATTACK. Instead, players will automatically become “ready” and the countdown to the game will begin. CONNECTED and CONNECTED VS modes, as well as all modes in FRIENDLY MATCH and LOCAL MATCH, behave as before.

[ALL] Spectators can now leave during a FRIEND MATCH.

[ALL] Changed the level of backup CPU players when a player disconnects in CONNECTED and CONNECTED VS. modes. (Previously, players were replaced with the same level CPU (1-10) as their level (1-10). Now players anywhere within levels 1-5 are replaced with a level 5 CPU.

[ALL] Changed the display name to “CPU” when replacing a player with an AI in CONNECTED and CONNECTED VS. modes.

[ALL] Added Full Moon Event WINS and WINRATE to MY RECORD > STATS: MULTIPLAYER (RANKED MATCHES). (The display alternates between normal and full moon WINS and WIN RATE every five seconds.)

[ALL] The game now preserves any player-customized camera positioning for each different MULTIPLAYER mode.

[ALL] Fixed an issue where GAME OVER was displayed when all blocks became Dark Blocks in PURIFY mode.

Other minor adjustments and bug fixes.

[SWITCH] Changing the Nintendo Switch system clock to a future time and posting online multiplayer results and then resetting them may prevent your online multiplayer results from being updated. Please do not change the system clock when playing online multiplayer.
