The Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti is a great graphics card that offers buyers future-proof specifications and outstanding performance in 1440p and 1080p.
Highly recommend getting one if you can. However, the RTX 3080 series is the most affordable option for 4K gamers who want to enjoy ray-traced graphics.
It’s aimed at gamers who want next-gen features like ray tracing and DLSS, but don’t have the money to buy one of Nvidia’s top-of-the-line RTX 3080, RTX 3080 Ti, or RTX 3090 cards.

The card features 8GB of GDDR6X memory, which while doesn’t seem like a significant upgrade over the original 3070’s 8GB of GDDR6, is a key factor behind the card’s higher price.

High-end, expensive memory that increases bandwidth and data transfer rates is referred to as GDDR6X. Every GDDR6X-equipped card I’ve tested has outperformed its GDDR6 counterparts in terms of performance.
It’s also a major factor in why Nvidia claims the new Ti has “about 10%” more power than the 3070.
The Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti is a powerful GPU that can easily render current AAA titles at up to 1440p with ray tracing enabled. With no GPUs available, we strongly advise all gamers looking for 1440p performance to get these as soon as you see them.
The card’s only downside is that it occupies a challenging market niche between the base RTX 3070 and 3080 in terms of price and performance.
If these cards were readily available, we’d advise customers to go with the cheaper RTX 3070 if they plan to stick with 1080p or 1440p resolutions, as it’s more affordable and still typically meets the needs at those resolutions.
The RTX 3080 is still a better option for 4K gamers who want ray tracing, as it offers significantly better performance in this crucial area.
