Daily deals: PS5 in stock, save on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S for the holidays

Christmas is only a few weeks away. The earlier you start your Christmas shopping, the better chance you have of finding a great deal. As December 25 approaches, both item prices and shipping costs increase. There are still plenty of great deals left from Black Friday, as well as a few new deals that have popped up.

Xbox Series S for $239.99

Amazon still has the Xbox Series S on sale for $239.99, a $60 drop in price from the original $300 MSRP. That also makes it over 50% cheaper than the $500 Xbox Series X console. It may not have the same performance as the Xbox Series X (it runs games at 1440p to hit 60 fps instead of native 4K), it can still play the same games.

It’s not too late to snap up a great deal with a massive 2TB storage upgrade for your PS5 console. You can’t use an old SSD and expect it to work well on the PS5 console. You should get a PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 solid state drive with a read speed of 5,500MB/s to match the PS5’s internal drive. Sony recommends installing an SSD with the heatsink attached. If the SSD you buy doesn’t include one, it’s easy enough to buy one off Amazon for around $10 and add it yourself.
