This is the de-facto card to get if you want to run current-gen games at 4K, as it’s up to 50% faster than the previous-gen RTX 2080 SUPER and doesn’t have the exorbitant price tag of the RTX 3080 Ti or RTX 3090 (both are only 3%-5% faster in real world). It has an HDMI 2.1 port to pass through 4K at 120Hz, which it can power even with resource-hungry games like Elden Ring.
MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU for $859.99
The RTX 3080 Ti has previously been hailed as “poor value” compared to the RTX 3080, and for a valid reason: the $1100 MSRP. That made it a whopping $400 more expensive than an RTX 3080. At 4K resolution, an RTX 3080 Ti represents a 10% performance increase over an RTX 3080, and that certainly wasn’t worth $400.

If you’re running games at 4K, you’ll be hovering on that threshold between good fps (50 fps) and great fps (100+ fps) with an RTX 3080 in many newer games, and the 10% speed boost of the RTX 3080 Ti could mean the difference in make up the world.
