Reservations are now open for Sandals Resort in Jamaica. The long-awaited return of Sandals Dunn’s River is May 24, 2023. The opening marks the introduction of this adults-only resort to the all-inclusive company.

“It was an extraordinary project and the last one I worked on [founder Gordon “Butch” Stewart] as his final masterpiece,” said Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of SRI and Stewart’s son. “He chose this location more than three decades ago for its white sandy shoreline, cool breezes, azure waters and proximity to the destination’s archetypal waterfalls. Not only will it serve to breathe new excitement into a corner of Jamaica loved and cherished by so many, but it will set a new luxury standard for tourism right here in our backyard, with a next-generation resort worthy of its nostalgic past. “

    New sandals suite concepts

The unique suite designs at Sandals Dunn’s River offer views, luxury and privacy. Tufa SkyPool Butler Suites feature glass panels running the full length of the oceanfront balconies overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The Coyaba Swim-Up Rondoval Butler Suites are self-contained villas with private pools, open-air rooftops, private soaking tubs, lounge areas, and incredible views. Mammee Bay Beachfront Butler Suites feature spacious balconies overlooking the ocean.

    New menus

Sandals Dunn’s River features 12 global fine dining restaurants with 10 brand new concepts for Sandals. L’Amande serves French and Jamaican dishes; Edessa is a Greek concept that brings together the Caribbean and the Aegean; and Banyu’s Asian fusion menu offers a mix of dishes from Thailand to Japan. Zuka made its debut at Sandals Royal Curaçao and will serve flavors from Central and South America. Jerk Shack will have rustic and traditional plates.

Nine bars in the resort each have a unique identity. Dunn’s Rum Club offers authentic Jamaican craft cocktails blended with locally sourced ingredients. Laughing Waters beach bar offers bed-style seating right on the sand where you can sip champagne cocktails. A sandals first in Jamaica is Ocarina, a rooftop bar. The Lapidus Lounge pays homage to the renowned architect Morris Lapidus, who designed the resort when it was built as the Arawak Hotel in the 1950s.

For coffee lovers, Café BLUM is inspired by Jamaica’s Blue Mountains, where the beans are harvested and roasted exclusively for the resort. You can get fresh pour over coffee or Japanese and Nitro Cold Brew.
