Senegal briefly teetered on the brink of elimination after Ecuador’s goal. Just three minutes after Ecuador leveled the game, Kalidou Koulibaly scored from a set piece for Senegal and scored from a free kick to make it 2-1 for Senegal.
With the Netherlands ahead of Qatar, Senegal needed a win to advance to the knockout rounds and they secured a 2-1 victory.
