That FIFA World Cup 2022 Continuing Tuesday on FOX, Morocco defeated Spain 3-0 in a penalty shoot-out at Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar, in the tournament’s penultimate round of 16 game.
Later, Portugal will face Switzerland in the second round of 16 game on Tuesday (11:00 a.m. ET, FOX). The winners will go head-to-head in the Quarterfinals, which ends on Saturday, December 10th.

Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou and defender Nayef Aguerd failed to score on a pass and Spain almost converted it into a goal. Shortly after the rally, his shot was deflected off the crossbar by Gavi and then Ferran Torres’ shot was put wide.
In the end, Spain was ruled offside.

Moroccan defender Noussair Mazraoui fired in a thunderbolt but Spanish goalkeeper Unai Simon prevented the attempt.

Spanish striker Dani Olmo unleashed a brilliant shot but Bono had none of it.

Morocco made their first substitution, bringing on striker Abdessamad Ezzalzouli for midfielder Sofiane Boufal.

Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte received a yellow card after a tackle against Hakimi.

Hakimi put the ball within striking distance for Morocco but striker Walid Cheddira was unable to put through a contested shot.

Spanish striker Nico Williams appeared to have a golden scoring opportunity but Moroccan defender Sofyan Amrabat came through with a clutch block.
90+4′: Game-saving refusal!
Bono pulled off his best World Cup denial for Morocco in the final seconds of the second half when he blocked Olmo’s attempted shot.
The game went into overtime.

Morata failed to convert a header from a Williams pass.

Cheddira almost scored the first goal of the game but his shot was sent sideways by Simon.
